PRESENTATIONS

Dr. Witmer is available to create and deliver presentations on mental health or clinical psychology related topics at schools for teachers, parents, and/or students. Additionally, she speaks with local organizations on mental health topics. She enjoys presenting to undergraduate and graduate students in training who are on their journeys towards becoming clinicians. Part of her mission as a psychologist is reducing the stigma of mental illness in our society, and so providing education on these topics is incredibly important to her. Presentations can be tailored to your needs and can last from 1-2 hours or be expanded into a full-day workshop.

Typical presentation topics include:

  • Stress management
  • Anxiety and relaxation strategies
  • Diagnosing and overcoming depression
  • Suicide prevention
  • The importance of self-care (for children, adults, clinicians)
  • Compassion fatigue from doing meaningful work (for teachers, clinicians)
  • The Art of Termination (for clinicians)
  • Mental health screening (for clinicians)
